Kata Rocks is pleased to announce the launch of its Wine Series Dinners starting from Friday 26 August. The oceanfront five-star resort invites guests on a gastronomic journey to discover a diverse menu of Thai and Western cuisine paired with some of the world’s finest wines.

Personally selected by Kata Rocks’ expert sommelier and Food and Beverage Manager Stefan Offner, these exclusive dinners will soon become monthly events.

The night kicks off with a refreshing welcome drink of Follador Prosecco Gold D.O.C. for the kick off canapé reception at either The Wine Cellar or the ocean view Terrace.Wines for dinner include Tedeschi Soave Classico D.O.C. (white) a spicy dry and fruity wine; Tedeschi Capitel Nicalo Valpolicella Superiore D.O.C. (red) light fruity and smooth red with no oak, no tannins; Tedeschi Corasco IGT (red) another light red with soft tannins; Tedeschi Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico D.O.C.G (red) a very bold full bodied red, fruity, oaky, spicy with a hint of raisins.

Each Wine Series Dinner will pair wines specifically chosen to complement the exquisite cuisine created by Kata Rocks’ Executive Chef Lian Pons. The East-Meets-West theme includes both Thai classics and Western favourites:

Amuse bouche
Gong Sam Rod: Fried king prawns, tamarind sauce, sweet chilli with Thai basil
Som Tum: Thai papaya salad, peanuts, garlic, green beans, fish sauce, chilli and lime
Por Pia Tod: Vegetable spring rolls with glass noodles and plum sauce
Tom Yam Goong: Hot and spicy seafood soup
Grilled Australian Beef Tenderloin: Roasted rosemary potatoes and mushrooms fricassee
Lemon Tart Meringue and blueberries

Tedeschi Grappa will also be available after the meal to those who love all things from the vineyard.
Due to limited seating of 32 guests at four round tables on the Terrace, reservations for this Wine Series Dinner are required and priced at THB 2,500 ++ per person. The meal can be a combination of Thai or Western menus, however appetizers, soup, selected main course and dessert will be served individually.
